"My first music video started out after watching too much Ranma1/2, and reading too much Ranma1/2 fan fiction. I began to notice that Ranma plays up the girl act a little too well ..."

"My third music video came about after I was given raw footage of the show Tenshi Ni Narumon. (Thanks Kyo!) I liked it so much that I convinced one of the heads of video at AnimeFest to show it unsubbed at the con. When we showed it, people began to wonder what kind of drugs the animators were on when they made it ..."

The New Transfer Student Song: Canta Per Me 3.6Mb
Album: Noir OST
Artist: Unknown
Anime: CardCaptor Sakura
Creator: Kestrel
Creation Date: April, 2002

"One of the comments about music videos is that your favorite song and your favorite anime don't necessarily make for a good mv. Well, the NOIR soundtracks (all 3 of them :) are currently my favorite songs, and CCS is by far my favorite anime, so I thought I'd put them together. This is the result."

Cold Song: Cold 5Mb
Album: Diva
Artist: Annie Lennox
Anime: Nadia: The Secret Of Blue Water
Creation Date: August, 2000

"It was a bit intimidating to try and do a Nadia video, given the wonderfully high precendent of the Hairston Nadia Trilogy of music vidoes, but I like this one a lot, and it received applause, a handshake, and a 'good job' from Hairston-sensei himself, so I think it was worth the effort.
"It also won 'Best Romance' at AWA in 2000."

Elevation Song: Elevation 4Mb
Album: All That You Can't Leave Behind
Artist: U2
Anime: FLCL
Creation Date: August, 2000

Those of you who have seen FLCL, a 6 OAV anime from Gainax, know how truly weird and warped it really is. My point in making this music video was to make that anime look "normal", and I really like the way it turned out. Thanks to Kyo for the DVD source. Thanks to Patryn for the RealMedia file.

"It took me 2 years to want to see this anime again after seeing it for the first time, it affected me so much. When I did watch it again, it was to create this video. My intention was to make a music video that people, whether or not they had seen this anime, would not mind watching more than once. Please let me know if I succeeded."

In God's Country Song: In God's Country 3.4Mb
Album: The Joshua Tree
Artist: U2
Anime: Utena Movie
Creation Date: November, 2001

The Utena Movie, while having very little to do with the plot of the TV series, is really beautiful to watch. I've liked this U2 song for a long time, and one day it just clicked that it would work with a lot of those incredible scenes from the Utena movie.

CardCaptor Sakura is my favorite anime, and I enjoy watching the relationship between Sakura and Yukito. Secret Game Song: Secret Game 4.2Mb
Album: Noir OST #2
Artist: Yuki Kajiura
Anime: Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
Creation Date: May, 2002

I am not a fan of the original Vampire Hunter D, and while the trailers I had seen looked cool, I wasn't that interested in seeing the new movie Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. But I borrowed the DVD from my friend Patryn, watched it, and really liked it. The visuals are incredible, and there are so many obvious great scenes featuring D that are perfect for a mv ... none of which I used. ^_^

Show Me the Meaning Of Being Lonely Song: Show Me the Meaning Of Being Lonely 4.5Mb
Album: Millennium
Artist: Backstreet Boys
Anime: Ruroni Kenshin
Creation Date: September, 2000

"I only like 2 Backstreet Boys songs, and this is one of them. I used the first Kenshin TV DVD (Ruroni Kenshin - Lengendary Swordsman), and a Japanese import LD of the movie which is a recap of the whole series. So if you're buying the professional releases, you're going to have to wait a while to see some of the scenes." ^_^x

Music Box Dancer Song: Music Box Dancericon 19Mb
Album: Over 60 Minutesicon
Artist: Frank Millsicon
Anime: Perfect Blueicon
Creation Date: April, 1998
Digital Remaster: July, 1999

"The story of a lady just tryin' to make a career change."

NOTE: The original version of this video was made with a sample copy of a professionally subbed version which was shown at a Canadian film festival. That fan-made music video was actually completely finished before the film was professionally released to theaters in Japan! Later, after the film had run in the theaters and the LD was released, a few of us bought copies of the LD and the video was remade from that source, to improve picture quality and remove the subtitles.

WARNING: Perfect Blue is an intense psycho-thriller, and a darned good one. Graphic, both violently and sexually, it is a work of cinematic art made to be theatrically released to a fully grownup audience, and is absolutely not for small children! That is the spirit of the movie, and that spirit has been preserved in this music video.

Legal Disclaimer

* NOTICE TO ARTISTS AND THEIR LEGAL REPRESENTATION:
The works on this page are done by amateurs for no profit whatsoever. The original videos are shown at fan conventions all over the country, and sometimes other countries as well. The sound quality of those (usually VHS or SVHS format) music videos is usually as high and as good as the individual creators have the capability to make it. That sound quality naturally degrades as copies of copies of copies get made and trickled down throughout the fan community, and thus do not create competition with the original Artists' work or livelihood. Indeed, viewings of these fan works actually creates demand for and sales of the original Artists' work. It would be impossible to calculate how many fans have gone out and bought albums just because they loved a fan video and wanted to own the music or hear more of a particular artist. Fan-works thus directly increase sales of the original Artists' works, and should be acknowleged as what they are ... a form of very powerful, very popular free advertising!
In keeping with this spirit of fandom supporting the professional industries, we have made these online versions of our videos with a low sound quality. This has the added benefit of reducing file size and decreasing download times. Most of these videos are made with 8-bit mono sound, and in no way even begin to approach the sound quality of a CD or MP3. We do not want the sound portion of these videos to ever compete with or reduce sales of works which we enjoyed enough to use in our projects, and so we simply insure they do not.
Further, in order to promote sales of the professional materials used in the creation of these videos, we have provided links to online ordering services. Anyone who enjoys either the footage or the audio in these works presented can, with but a single click of their mouse, be transported directly to a page from which they can purchase the work of the original Artists, Producers, Publishers and License Holders, and we encourage them to do so.
Please recognize this for what it is ... free online word-of-mouth advertising targeting an already interested population segment. It's hard to imagine a better deal than that.
